Nassau, Bahamas Recap

This is a quick overview of what we did in the Bahamas. Scroll down for more details.

Things to do

The small island had plenty of activities to do. With a longer stay, we could have explored more. You’ll be surprised what Nassau has to offer. Here are the things we did in Nassau.

  • Rose Island Private Party Yacht Getaway
    • Captain Will and his crew were friendly and made sure we were taken care of. We went to Pig Beach, which is a small island with pigs. We held the piglets and fed the pigs. Also, we saw the pigs swim in the ocean. Later, we went to Pearl Island. On Pearl Island, we explored this island, swam in the ocean, ate their meal, and relaxed.

  • The Straw Market
    • This is the biggest marketplace in Nassau, which sells a lot of souvenirs.
  • The Coconut Bar
    • This bar crafts custom drinks that can be served in a coconut or pineapple.
  • Rhum Runners
    • Go to this Authentic restaurants, which serves authentic Bahamian food. I had the jerk chicken with macaroni & cheese, cornbread, and rice & peas. My meal was very good, and I recommend going here.
  • Downtown
    • Explore Downtown, visit different stores, try the restaurants, and meet the friendly locals.

Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop

Drinks:
– So Can Princess

Appetizers:
– Cornbread (It wasn’t shown because we ate it quickly lol)
– Conch Croquettes
Dinner:
– Colorado Lamp Chops
– Fried Yard Bird
– Spaghetti Piccadilly
– Shrimp & Grits
Sides
– Lobster Mac & Cheese
– Mac & Cheese
– Island Seafood Rice

The restaurant is very pricy, but you get a lot of food. Our favorite appetizer was the cornbread, and the butter paired with it gave it a more favorable taste. The creamed collard greens were VERY good. That was the best collard greens I’ve tasted. The waitress was very accompany and made sure we were taken care of.

I rate it a 9/10.

Lynden Pindling International Airport Review

Nassau’s airport might look big from the outside, but it’s actually small. Checking in wasn’t an issue, but TSA was. If you don’t have TSA Pre-Check or Global Entry, please arrive at the airport two hours prior for your flight. I had Global Entry, so it took about 20-30 minutes to go through Customs.
After Customs, we walked around. There was a good variety of food, so finding something to eat wouldn’t be an issue. My main issue is there aren’t enough seats by the terminal. If seats are taken, you will be standing. Also, there wasn’t a lot of space, and it can easier become crowded.

That’s why I rated this airport a 7/10.
